At Polen Capital, we are committed to pursuing the betterment of communities and the environment in which we work and live. For many years, through corporate sponsorship and volunteer opportunities, we have worked to strengthen our partnerships with local initiatives that promote social awareness in our community in and around South Florida.
Polen Capital has been a long-term supporter of Make-A-Wish®, which grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition about every 38 minutes. Polen Capital proudly sponsors an annual Golf Tournament in conjunction with Make-a-Wish.
Polen Capital is a corporate sponsor of the American Association of Caregiving Youth. AACY is the national resource for children who sacrifice their education, health, well-being and childhood as they provide care for family members who are ill, injured, elderly or disabled. The mission of AACY is to raise awareness as well as to provide direct and indirect resources to care-giving youth and their families.
In 2014, Polen Capital also began sponsoring the AACY/Polen Capital Caregiving Youth Scholarship.
Polen Capital is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary (nonprofit) health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.
Polen Capital is dedicated to supporting military veterans and their families through the important work of the Pat Tillman Foundation. Founded in 2004, the Pat Tillman Foundation invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships – building a diverse community of leaders committed to service to others.
Polen Capital is proud to support the efforts of the Travis Manion Foundation which assists our nation’s veterans and families of the fallen. TMF engages with veterans and families of the fallen in all stages of their personal journeys and offers them unique opportunities to empower them to achieve their goals. TMF believes that the best way to honor the fallen is by challenging the living. TMF challenges veterans and survivors to lead the “If Not Me, Then Who…” movement and inspire others to continue the service to community and country exemplified by the nation’s fallen heroes.
Our first Core Value is to 'do the right thing,' and that applies not just to our clients and colleagues but also to our community. Giving back to the community has always been a big part of the culture of Polen Capital and it will continue to be a big part of our future.
