Position

The Business Intelligence Analyst is a member of the Analytics team and reports to the Head of Analytics.  The successful candidate has expertise in investment management, Business Intelligence experience domain and an unwavering commitment to service excellence. The role involves working across all business units at the firm to provide accurate Business Intelligence to our individual and institutional clients, investment consultants, financial advisors, corporate partners, regulators, and senior management.

Roles & Responsibilities

The primary role of the Business Intelligence Analyst is to deliver accurate, timely reports and dashboards throughout the firm while providing a best-in-class service experience. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Collaborate with all Polen Capital teams to gather stakeholder requirements to ensure operational effectiveness and effective workflow management for Business Intelligence
  • Plan, organize and prioritize assignments to ensure quality and on-time delivery of client requested data, both scheduled and ad-hoc reporting
  • Identify and provide effective and efficient operations and administration of all BI deliverable requests by analyzing and defining standards, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure data is properly entered and maintained to confirm data integrity and information security
  • Translate business requirements into accurate, timely Analytics content across the firm’s systems and data sets
  • Turn data into information, and information into insights to support the transformation of insights into business decisions
  • Set up and standardize documentation to ensure that all reporting processes and procedures are appropriately documented and secured
  • Gain hands-on experience and exposure to how Polen Capital operates.  Support teams across the firm on special projects and initiatives that impact client experience, client retention, business strategy, the sales process, financial analysis, and all other functional areas.
  • Research and recommend reporting tools, methods, and capabilities to continuously improve the capability of the firm
  • Organize and lead business and technical workshops on using reporting tools and methodologies to mature the reporting capability of the firm

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Analytics, Econometrics or similar quantitative field
  • 5+ years professional experience in a related Financial Services business, preferably in Asset Management
  • Business analysis, functional design, data analysis and presentation skills
  • Proficient use of BI tools, Tableau preferred
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Use of Alteryx or similar ETL tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strengths in leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to continually learn new concepts, technologies and effectively apply them
