Polen Capital is seeking an experienced writer to create authored internal and external content that captures the Firm’s investment strategies and latest insights. The successful candidate understands the investment management industry, has content creation and content management experience, and demonstrates an unwavering commitment to service excellence. The Content Marketing Manager reports to the Head of Marketing.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Generate high-quality content that reflects the Polen brand & voice, captivates our audience, builds awareness of our industry leadership, and efficiently drives quality business leads
  • Develop value-add materials for all client channels (intermediary, institutional, global) and mediums (print, web, social, press, digital media)
  • Synthesize complex investment team ideas into engaging and accessible written content and effectively deliver and distribute, for a variety of clients
  • Consistently leverage data, analytics, insights, and metrics to guide content strategy and execute compelling, value-add marketing programs through the marketing funnel
  • Demonstrate an in-depth comprehension of target audience segments and client journeys, ensuring consistent messaging throughout
  • Keep abreast of market trends, buyer personas, investment concepts, and competitive differentiators
  • Develop mastery of Firm culture, capabilities, investment philosophy, and strategies
  • Build and maintain strong, positive interpersonal working relationships with key business partners to accomplish team and firmwide goals
  • Appropriately prioritize deliverables, adhere to procedures and timelines, and ensure orderly processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7-10 years professional experience in writing and editing within financial services marketing, newsroom, or corporate communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications, or relevant area
  • Outstanding research, written and verbal communication acumen; proven track record as an impactful storyteller
  • Keen analytical eye with the ability to identify trends in data and turn them into meaningful insights
  • Video production/development experience a plus
  • Solid understanding of investment management industry and equity investments preferred
  • Excellent organization, execution, attention to detail, and project management capabilities
  • Strategic, creative, and critical thinking skills; ability to work in partnership and prioritize projects as needed
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, results-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
