Polen Capital is seeking a Learning & Development Manager responsible for the design, development, and execution of firmwide, team-specific, and individual training initiatives. The successful candidate will play a strategic role in learning & development programming across the organization. This role is based in Boca Raton, FL or Boston, MA and reports to the Head of Human Resources.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, identify, organize, and direct training and development programs that enhance individual, team, and firm performance
  • Determine global firmwide developmental needs and ensure alignment with desired business outcomes; partner with firm leaders and managers to gain an understanding of training requirements
  • Create a learning strategy including but not limited to mentoring, coaching, on-the-job training, classroom training, job shadow, e-learning, microlearning, and workshops
  • Proactively coach and provide individualized training to strengthen employees’ existing skills and/or to cultivate new ones
  • Partner with employees on putting their annual training budget to work
  • Help managers develop their team through career pathing
  • Monitor and establish metrics to ensure L&D efforts and results are providing measurable return on investment
  • Maintain, coordinate, and communicate internal training calendar
  • Develop and deliver communications to ensure employees stay abreast of learning and development resources
  • Design, update, and oversee firm’s Learning Management System; ensure best-in-class user experience and content
  • Partner with Change Management on technical training

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years learning and development and/or corporate training experience; financial services background, preferred
  • Experience with design and delivery of learning management systems
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; comfortable speaking in front of large groups in person or via Zoom
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global, growing, results-driven environment
  • Strong project management skills with ability to work on multiple deliverables concurrently
