Position

The Institutional Business Development Team is seeking a Relationship Associate to assist with developing new business opportunities and territory management. The Relationship Associate will focus on prospect research and content preparation to cultivate new relationships.

Roles & Responsibilities

The primary role of the Relationship Associate is to support the Distribution team in achieving the firm’s asset gathering goals and other firm-wide initiatives. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop a solid understanding of the firm’s investment strategies and product vehicles
  • Conduct research and develop meeting preparation collateral
  • Assist in maintaining current, relevant information on clients, consultants, and prospects in the firm’s CRM system
  • Gather and share relevant industry knowledge to assist in content development and overall messaging
  • Ensure timely response to inquiries and provide ongoing communication with clients/prospects/consultants, including the compilation and distribution of recurring requests
  • Serve as internal point-person to organize activities and filter updates to the respective team members
  • Populate and maintain CRM to assist sales partners with territory and pipeline management
  • Identify prospects and cross-selling opportunities by utilizing market intelligence and competitive analysis resources such as eVestment, Fin|searches, FundMap, Ignites, FundFire and Money Market Directory

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or related field
  • 1-5 years professional experience, preferably in asset management or financial services; candidates who do not have at least one year of full-time work experience will not be considered
  • High client-service orientation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with excellent people skills that contribute to the ability to work well with others toward common goals
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn and integrate new technology applications (Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint), knowledge of CRM systems helpful
  • Well- organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to agility, continuous learning, and improvement
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, or ability to become licensed within 6 months of firm employment
