Scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated and fraudsters will often use names of real companies, like Polen Capital, to gain credibility and appear legitimate.

Imposters and cyber-criminals may also misuse our name, brand, and names of our employees, or may publish fake websites or use unofficial communication channels such as WhatsApp messages or channels to seek personal or confidential information, or to further financial crimes.

Reporting Suspected Scams

Investors should be wary of "investment opportunities" they did not seek out on online platforms such as WhatsApp or other social media and messaging apps. Exercise caution by consulting with a trusted financial advisor.

If you suspect or become aware of a scam using Polen Capital’s name or involving someone claiming to work for Polen Capital, please contact us immediately.

Report the account, page, or group to the servicing platform. 

Reach out directly to your Polen Capital relationship manager, if applicable or a trusted financial advisor.

3. Report to Authorities

Always follow official advice from authorities in your region, and report the scam to your local authorities and regulators.

Firm Identity & Employee Impersonation

Scammers can claim to be Polen Capital employees to establish credibility and promote fraudulent investment opportunities, even distributing false press releases and articles through third-party news and content sites to legitimize their scams.

Fraudsters can create lookalike websites using our branding, often using domains that closely resemble Polen Capital’s official website to appear like legitimate companies to mislead investors. 

These individuals fraudulently claim to be affiliated with Polen Capital using fake company names similar to ours, such as: 

  • PCAM Group, PC Asset Management, Polen Capital Asset Management (PCAM), PCAM (Polen Capital Asset Management), Polen Capital AM

These domains are not managed by, or affiliated with Polen Capital:

The following fraudulent profiles have been used to impersonate an employee or to claim affiliation with Polen Capital:

WhatsApp Groups & Mobile Trading Apps

Scammers who claim to be affiliated with and/or are impersonating Polen Capital employees are providing unsolicited financial information to people in WhatsApp groups and encouraging victims to download mobile trading applications. 

Unauthorized WhatsApp group names & "projects" include:

Mobile apps developed by fraudsters can often be available for download in legitimate app stores. Investors should exercise caution when downloading suspicious applications. Polen Capital does not offer or own any mobile applications.
