Notice: Beware of Fraudulent Impersonations on WhatsApp
Polen Capital is warning investors about an online investment scheme in which bad actors are impersonating Polen Capital employees and/or claiming to be affiliated with Polen Capital via WhatsApp, and using a similarly named website to defraud investors.
As scams involving fake investment opportunities become increasingly common and sophisticated, understanding their tactics is essential to recognize and avoid them.
Please note that Polen Capital will never contact you to request money or bank account details, or share investment details or opportunities, through unapproved messaging platforms, including, but not limited to, WhatsApp, Telegram, Flock, Signal, LinkedIn, or Google Chat.
If you receive suspicious messages or encounter a potential scam using the Polen Capital name/brand (or one that appears similar to the Polen Capital name/brand), please:
- Contact us immediately
- Do not engage or respond
- Report the account to the servicing platform
- Reach out directly to your Polen Capital relationship manager, if applicable, or a trusted financial advisor
- Report to authorities, if appropriate [resources here]
- Always consult a trusted financial advisor on the appropriateness of investments
